“Caterina ran a paint night that I attended during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. I loved attending the paint night each week as they created a sense of community that we all lost during COVID. Caterina was engaging, welcoming and encouraging as she walked us through each step. I never realised I could paint until her paint night. Now I can say that I’m proud of my works of art. I attended multiple nights but by far my favourite was the 3 cactus painting. I love cactuses and never knew how to make them look just right. Caterina showed me that little X’s look like spikes and that if you line them up in a special way they look like the ridges of a cactus.”

“I attended Caterina’s virtual paint nights because I struggled with creating digital art. I found myself getting stuck on applying painting techniques in a digital fashion often. I wanted to learn how to enhance my digital art skills while using a restrictive program, which was extremely difficult. Caterina’s paint nights saved me. I enjoyed the paintings we recreated and Caterina assisted with understanding how to apply artistic techniques, no matter the media/digital program you were using. She would explain colour theory, brush techniques, and media usage in order to achieve your desired result. Plus, she facilitated in creating a positive creative environment free of judgement.
